Built Works is a RIBA chartered architecture and design practice founded in 2020 with a vision to combine cutting edge technology with environmentalism.
Operating across multiple sectors and at a range of scales in both urban and rural locations, the practice has offices in London and the Lake District.

How we work
We consider buildings to be a part of the natural environment we live in. To this end, we combine ecosystems with built systems, to create environments that promote a sustainable relationship with our planet.
We are passionate about building conservation and retrofit projects, advocating that the most environmentally friendly building is an existing one.
By combining cutting edge technology with indiginous knowledge and local materials we create new vernacular spaces to live, work and play.

Built Works Director Will Gowland is a Certified Passive House Designer and the practice is a member of the International Passive House Institute (iPHA), The Passive House Trust (PHT) and Association of Environmentally Concious Building (AECB).
