Cumberland Road
Enhancing the character of the existing building and upgrading the environmental performance of the building as a whole is a core part of the brief. The external envelope is to be repaired and redecorated to ensure the building has a positive impact on the wider townscape.
The proposals also seeks to dramatically improve the environmental performance of the house and decrease the energy requirements of it. External insulation and a substantially improved roof will improve thermal performance.

The proposals will result in much improved; internal layout, external private amenity, servicing, and environmental performance for the existing building, as well as improving the outward appearance of the house to the public realm. They will enhance the existing character of the building, restoring historic features, and adding to them a series of high quality new interventions.
